Student Vision Board
  • Our Story.

The Center for Arts-Inspired Learning (CAL) envisioned Cleveland High School for Digital Arts after years of successfully implementing youth arts programs that sparked remarkable engagement among teenagers in digital disciplines. Teens involved in digital arts consistently showed extraordinary dedication—committing extra hours, exploring concepts at home, and refining their skills with notable enthusiasm. Inspired by these passionate learners, CAL, supported by funding from The Cleveland and Gund Foundations, embarked on a journey alongside national advisors to identify innovative, high-performing educational models nationwide.

This extensive research led to a collaborative partnership between the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and CAL. With insights from both local and national education experts, they proudly launched Cleveland High School for Digital Arts (CHSDA) in 2014. Today, CHSDA continues to grow, empowering students passionate about digital game design, recording arts technology, digital filmmaking, and graphic design. By harnessing the power of technology and creativity, CHSDA prepares students not only for success in high-tech careers but also for the innovative challenges of tomorrow.
