
"Teaching through the Arts" will continue in a third year at Thomas Jefferson International Newcomers Academy in live online sessions with the artist as well as through
pre-recorded videos that align with content standards for English Language Arts, Science, Social Emotional Learning and more. Ms. Das collaborates with educators to adapt to their teaching modalities and uses music, fine arts and puppetry to reach a K-12 audience. Artistic products from weekly student participants in grades 1-8 and K-3 Autism will include virtual performances and music products to be widely shared with the community. Teacher professional development is an ongoing aspect of this program.

"Songwriting for Success" will open up writing and performing possibilities for students in grades 2-6, MD/AUT and ED at Luis Munoz Marin Dual Language Academy on virtual stages. Live online sessions and pre-recorded lessons will lead students to find their voice, music, and provide for personal development through lyric writing and performance education. All activities align with content standards in English Language Arts and Social Emotional Learning. Final products include a CD of recorded music and teacher professional development.
