Welcome to Clark School
Clark is a PreK-8 school that is committed to challenging students to succeed and grow while offering them the nurturing and support they need. We believe that strong relationships between scholars and teachers will ensure that scholars' individualized needs are being met. Clark offers a rigorous curriculum with a focus on first-hand experiences and field trips that emphasize real-world applications.Clark encourages students to develop teamwork and leadership skills through extracurricular activities, including baseball, track, cheerleading and a variety of clubs. We also aim to make parents and caregivers an integral part of the Clark community through parent-student events and parenting support groups.Clark's preschool program earned a 5-star rating from Step Up to Quality, Ohio's evaluation system. We also offer programs for children who are preparing to enter preschool.For our large population of English Language Learners (ELLs), we have in-classroom services including bilingual aides. Clark is on this year’s list of America’s Healthiest Schools.
A dozen CMSD schools made the Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s list, which began in 2006, singles out schools for promoting exercise, nutrition and safety among students and staff.

Excellence in Teaching winners announced (Photo gallery, video)
This is the third year for the awards, a partnership between the George Gund and Cleveland foundations, the District and the Cleveland Teachers Union. The goal is to spread best practices by honoring teachers who set a standard of excellence and serve as an example for their peers.

State recognizes Clark, Glenville
The state has honored CMSD’s Clark PreK-8 School and Glenville High School for exceeding expectations in student academic growth last year.

Sign-up for Summer Learning
The CMSD Summer Learning Experience is back for a second year, with something for every student, from preschool through 12th grade. And it’s free. Students can finish the year strong, get ahead or engage in hands-on projects and fun activities at more than 30 school sites throughout the city.

Applications taken for open school board seat
The City of Cleveland is accepting applications for an open seat on the Board of Education. Mayor Justin Bibb will appoint a new board member to complete a term that expires June 30, 2023. The seat was vacated when Jasmine Fryer resigned last August.

CMSD to introduce streamlined student information system
CMSD parents will soon have a one-stop online platform where they can perform an array of tasks such as finding their children’s school records, submitting forms and communicating with teachers.
