Ten District teachers have learned that they have won this year’s Excellence in Teaching Award. The honor goes to teachers who demonstrate instructional expertise, creativity and innovation and set an example for their peers.
A dozen CMSD schools made the Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s list, which began in 2006, singles out schools for promoting exercise, nutrition and safety among students and staff.

CMSD is gathering feedback from high school students, staff, families, and partners to assess and improve Workforce Readiness and Career & Technical Education (CTE) programming. Your input is essential in helping us evaluate current programs and determine how to better support students in preparing for college and careers.
While Cleveland Metropolitan School District offers no-costs meals to all students during the school year, children must meet certain eligibility requirements to receive Summer EBT benefits. If your household income is at or below 185% of the federal poverty level, your school-aged children may qualify.

DMGLA has a new logo!
The two logo winners have been crowned! Jamila Asadova and Chloe Kolcun worked together to blend their visions for a new DMGLA logo. Grades 5-8 voted and the VILS team tallied the information. We love what they created and are so proud of these 6th graders!
