The 21st Century student will work for international companies, compete with people from other countries, manage employees from other cultures and solve global problems.
For students to participate effectively in this changing world, you must first understand it. Lincoln-West School of Global Studies ensures that you are ready for your future with experiences that will expose you to the world around you.
In year one, you will participate in field trips, service learning projects and classroom experiences that focus on Cleveland as an international city. In year two, you will take excursions at the state and national level. In year three, exposure will occur at the international level. In year four, you will complete a capstone project that incorporates global learning with work experience and individual projects that impact both your local and global communities.
Lincoln-West School of Global Studies offers an experience that:
• emphasizes service learning by giving you the opportunity to meet academic requirements by solving real problems for nonprofit organizations. • focuses on teaching you skills that will make you a competent citizen, worker and leader in a global society and economy. • enables you to showcase and celebrate your classroom and service-learning projects twice a year with your family, community partners, business leaders and local officials in Cleveland.
