- Saturday from 7:00 - 11:00 pm at John Marshall Campus
Senior Cap & Gown Photos
We are excited to announce that Senior Cap & Gown Day is just around the corner! This is a special milestone, and we want to ensure that every senior gets their portrait taken to be included in the yearbook and graduation presentation.
Senior Picture Day Details:
- Date: December 8th & 9th
- Location: John Marshall Campus
- Seniors should wear a white collared shirt.
- Cap & gowns will be provided.
- Seniors should arrive camera-ready with their hair and makeup done.
- For those unable to attend, a makeup session will be held later.
Senior Grades Due - May 8th
Prom
Prom is Saturday, May 2nd. More information to follow.
The following expectations are required to purchase tickets:
- No level 2 offense from March 2, 2026, to May 1, 2026 (Refer to the CMSD Student Code of Conduct Handbook)
- 0 suspensions from March 2, 2026, to May 1, 2026
- The student must be on track for graduation (credits & OST)
- Passing all courses
- Community service hours must be on track towards completion
- Outside guests must follow the same guidelines and must be 20 years of age or younger
- After-school detentions served*
*Students will not be sold prom tickets if they have pending detention(s). If they are given a detention after ticket purchase, the student will be placed on hold until the detention is served.
**Students who commit a violation that prohibits them from attending prom, WILL NOT be refunded funds from purchasing prom tickets.

Graduation
Commencement for John Marshall School of Engineering is Saturday, May 23, 2026. More information to follow.
The following expectations are required for commencement:
- The student must have met ALL graduation requirements as required by the Ohio Department of Education and Cleveland Metropolitan School District
- All community service hours must be completed
- Senior dues paid in full
- Any student financial obligations are paid
- Student MUST PARTICIPATE in all graduation practices
- Student should be dressed in appropriate graduation attire as outlined by the school
- No Level 2 offenses or higher (Refer to the CMSD Student Code of Conduct Handbook)
Note: If a student is not eligible to walk at commencement, but is eligible for graduation, the student WILL still be considered a graduate and will receive their diploma with all of the rights and privileges of every other graduate.
