Bolton School Mission

Bolton Elementary seeks to create a safe and supportive learning environment, where students are comfortable taking risks and being creative. We believe Creativity and Accountability need to be at the forefront of creating rigorous, data driven instruction that helps to ensure student growth, literacy proficiency and gap closing. Scholars will obtain academic success and Innovation through daily experiences that will prepare them for future success.

Here at Bolton, we believe that it is critical for our students to improve their literacy, writing, and math skills. Therefore, we use multiple types of assessment data to determine the instructional needs of every scholar. To address their needs, we have incorporated intervention periods focused on reading in grades K-5; and both math and reading in grades 6-8. Grades 3-8 will continue to have a targeted focus in writing; while K-2 will have a focus on building foundational skills through our Structured Literacy Block.
