Here at Bolton Elementary School we are committed to ensuring that our scholars are consistently engaged in high levels of instruction. We believe that by building a community based on the values of safety, respect, and responsibility, we create the capacity to promote and maintain positive instructional and social-emotional outcomes. Our motto, "Bolton is BETTER together" will be evident throughout the school year as "together" we will ensure that every educational and personal experience we offer our scholars will contribute to their overall success through our work as a staff, family, and community. The word BETTER in this phrase is an acronym for:
Be Involved
Engaged
Technology Ready
Twenty-First Century Prepared
Equitable
Ready to Achieve
As a dedicated staff and leadership team, we work collaboratively with families and community partners to ensure every scholar is receiving the best education possible. We will accomplish this through setting goals reflecting high expectations for all stakeholders; providing support through engaging and differentiated instruction; creating opportunities to develop 21st century skills, and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment. And because we believe that it is important for our scholars to make substantial contributions to our community, we will also engage them in service learning projects that promotes a culture of giving.
As the old proverb goes, “It takes a village to raise a child!” It is with this in mind that we provide expanded opportunities for our scholars to become productive citizens in an ever-changing society. This includes an in-school planning center, in-school mentoring, mental health services, and community outreach programs.
We look forward to an exciting school year and hope to see each one of you at our family events, parent-teacher conferences, planning sessions, and award ceremonies. Learn more about how you can get involved by regularly visiting our website where you can also find our school calendar, monthly newsletters, and school highlights.
I know that with hard work and commitment that WE can make “Bolton BETTER Together!”
1/6/2021 -- CMSD will offer virtual information sessions and a choice fair to help parents and caregivers select the high schools that best fit their children’s needs.
With the threat of COVID-19 spiking in the area, CEO Eric Gordon has recommended that all District students remain in remote learning for the beginning of the second quarter.
CMSD graduates received a boost this year from new Say Yes to Education scholarships that pay up to the full value of tuition. The scholarships may be used at all public colleges and universities and Pell-eligible training programs in Ohio and more than 100 private colleges and universities across the country.
