Working as the founding principal to create the John Marshall School of Civic and Business Leadership has been a dream come true for me. This is the school Cleveland needs right now—it will be an incubator for leaders and entrepreneurs prepared to tackle our region’s challenges ethically and responsibly.

Throughout this year, students will be exploring the challenges of leadership by setting up and running real businesses and civic campaigns. Our first business will be a coffee shop with the community support of Rising Star Coffee.

A family culture is created in the school by using small group advisories called “Circle” and using restorative justice principles.

I live in the city of Cleveland and love transforming the future of the city by supporting the next generation of city leaders.
