Immersions
Immersion experiences take place
during the final two weeks of each
semester and allow students to
participate in real world applications of
their knowledge and skills.These applications of knowledge and
skills range from daily field experiences,
internships, and volunteerism.
Immersion experiences are designed to
allow students to experience real world
solutions to the problems explored
during capstones both locally as well as
abroad. -
Foundations
Foundations provide students
with opportunities to explore
who they are, who they want to
become and how to get there.Foundations also provide
students with individualized
targeted supports in both SEL as
well as mastery to ensure that
every student has a plan as well
as the supports that they need
to be successful. -
Workshop
Workshops are learning experiences
focused on learning and achievement in
a specific skill and/or content area.They are condensed learning
experiences with a clear focus on
developing student knowledge and
skills aligned both to Ohio Education
Standards as well as the current
Capstone.Workshops will be project based and
incorporate the individual rotation
blended learning model. -
Capstone
A capstone is defined as the high point
or crowning achievementStudent’s crowning achievement will be
the ability to apply the skills and
knowledge they have gained
throughout the capstone process to
demonstrate their learning and
achievement as well as solve real world
problems.Student grouping based upon mastery
level achieved to best meet students'
needs in smaller groupings.
