If you want to repaint your school, bring in the experts.
More than 100 volunteers from the research and development team at the Cleveland-based Sherwin-Williams paint company brightened up the interior of Luis Muñoz Marin School on Friday. The group painted the first and second floor hallways and the gym.
The project was part of an annual day of service, with more than 350 Sherwin-Williams employees turning out at five work sites.
"We have been in this community for 149 years," said Kent Young, director of technology. "This is our way of giving back."
Teams of workers spread throughout the Castle Avenue school to make quick work of the task. Meanwhile, students and staff joined families for outdoor games, music and other activities.

Principal Jeffery Keruski started the day by talking about the school's culture, sharing its accomplishments this school year and discussing plans for further achievements next year. Esperanza had staff on hand for face painting and grilling hotdogs.
