Tickets are on sale for the 8th annual Army of Believers Scholarship Luncheon, which will be held on Friday, July 31 at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel.
Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge will be the keynote speaker. The honorary co-chairs are Dr. Akram Boutros, president and chief executive officer of the MetroHealth System, and Maryrose T. Sylvester, president and chief executive officer of GE Lighting.
The luncheon will run from noon to 1:30 p.m. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m.
Proceeds go to scholarships for graduating CMSD seniors. Last year, 13 students received scholarships worth $5,000 each. The winners were chosen from 104 applicants based on academic records or overall contributions to the community, recommendations, an essay and an interview.
The Eaton Corp. funded five of the scholarships.
Tickets are priced as follows:
• Four-star general: $5,000, which includes VIP seating for 10, prominent program recognition and name and logo in the program.
• Three-star general: $3,500, which includes preferred seating for five and name and logo in the program.
• Two-star general: $1,500: which includes preferred seating for two and name in the program.
• One-star general: $100, ticket for one.
