District prepares families for remote learning

Classes resume for most Cleveland Metropolitan School District students on Sept. 8, and CMSD wants to ensure that families are ready for the remote learning that will take place in the first nine weeks.

CMSD has been distributing technology to ensure that every student has a device. The District also is connecting families to the internet by issuing them a hotspot or paying for high-speed service through the nonprofit DigitalC.

ClevelandMetroSchools.org/ReopeningCMSD, a page on the District’s website, features sample student schedules, attendance guidelines and introductions to the online learning platforms, Schoology and Seesaw.

Also on the page are steps to using the Clever portal, where students and families sign on to all instructional applications, and setting up the email account needed to access Clever.

CMSD has set up a tech support line, 216-838-0440.
