Willson is a PreK-8 school that offers a unique, individualized learning experience and strives to create meaningful connections with the community. Here are some of the exciting things going on at Willson:
The Willson Meditation Room gives students time to regroup while not losing instructional time.
A dozen CMSD schools made the Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s list, which began in 2006, singles out schools for promoting exercise, nutrition and safety among students and staff.
Willson PreK-8 School held a ribbon cutting on Tuesday – for a washer and dryer. The appliances will be used to clean and dry dirty uniforms, which are often cited as a reason why children miss school. Residents also can do laundry at Willson at certain times.
Asthma can be a massive drain on schools, causing children to miss class, lose energy and, in extreme cases, end up in the hospital. The illness can be deadly but it's also treatable, which is why University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital is stepping in to help at a CMSD school.
The CMSD Summer Learning Experience is back for another year with something for rising kindergarten through 12th grade scholars. The program will be held at more than 25 school sites throughout the city.
All CMSD scholars, educators, CMSD parents and caregivers are invited to share their ideas on how the funding can be creatively used. If you have a vision of how the educational experience of a school, building, department, or division can be advanced, you are encouraged to share your idea.
CMSD is requesting your help in finalizing our 2023-2024 School Year Calendar!
