Dike School of the Arts

Dedicated to excellence in education

Welcome to Dike School of the Arts!

  • The MISSION of Dike School of the Arts is to meet all students' academic, social and emotional needs while promoting expression through the arts.

The VISION of Dike School of the Arts is to provide equitable opportunities for all Cleveland Metropolitan School District scholars to be exposed to the arts and academics within a culture of compassion, support and high expectations that lead to a well-rounded high school student.

    The Art Program at DSA

Our youngest students in Grades PreK-3 are exposed to all of the art forms to introduce them to the foundations of music history and theory, dance, acting, drawing, painting, singing and instrumentals.

Our students in Grades 4-8 choose to focus on one of the following fine arts: drama, dance, band, orchestra, visual arts and choir and are mentored by professional teaching artists who are also performers and artists in their own right.

DSA partners with The Cleveland Orchestra, Cleveland School of the Arts, The Music Settlement, Tri-C, and the Cleveland Institute of Music to provide additional instruction and exposure to the performing arts through private lessons, chamber groups, and field trips to professional concerts and performances.
