Daniel E. Morgan is a vibrant elementary school with a focus on core subject and the arts. As one of CMSD's high-performing school choices, our high-quality staff supports all students, including those with special needs, in reaching their full academic potential.
Students benefit from tutoring programs through community partners, including 100 Black Men, Extended Day Services, Homework Buddy Program, Cleveland State University, Notre Dame College and Church of the Covenant.
Extracurriculars help students learn skills like teamwork and leadership. We offer basketball, cheerleading, track, volleyball, choir, drumming and more.
All classrooms are equipped with the latest technology, including computers and Smart Boards
Students are offered a wide variety of programs and special events for a rich, rigorous educational experience, including Accelerated Reader, Book Fair, Literacy Festival and Literacy through Music.

A dozen CMSD schools made the Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s list, which began in 2006, singles out schools for promoting exercise, nutrition and safety among students and staff.

Cleveland HBCU association honors graduating seniors during celebratory event

Cleveland Teacher Wins National Grant to Study Education in Ghana

05/07/2025 The Cleveland Observer - Quelina Jordan-Shaw, a high school teacher at Cleveland Metropolitan Remote School, has been selected as a 2025 Fund for Teachers Fellow. She will receive a $4,964 grant to travel to Ghana this summer, where she will study how schools there teach career and entrepreneurship education.
