At Almira PreK-8 Academy, teachers and students bring education to life through project-based learning that connects classroom lessons to the real world. Verizon will supply iPads at five schools
Verizon will provide iPads or Chromebooks to students in the upper grades at Almira and four other CMSD PreK-8 schools as part of an effort to help students nationwide close the “digital learning gap.”

Almira is on this year’s list of America’s Healthiest Schools.
A dozen CMSD schools made the Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s list, which began in 2006, singles out schools for promoting exercise, nutrition and safety among students and staff.

While Cleveland Metropolitan School District offers no-costs meals to all students during the school year, children must meet certain eligibility requirements to receive Summer EBT benefits.
