Enroll now for the new school year

If you have not done so already, there is still time to enroll students in CMSD schools for the new school year.

Families have many reasons to choose CMSD, including its variety of school options and rapid growth in achievement compared with other systems across the state. Those reasons have grown during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The District supplies devices to students who need them for remote learning, gets their families connected to the Internet and supplies technological support. And we are committing to assist with families’ social and emotional needs during this difficult period.

Graduates of CMSD high schools are now eligible for Say Yes to Education scholarships that pay the full value of tuition, minus federal and state aid, to all public colleges and universities and Pell-eligible training programs in Ohio and more than 100 private colleges and universities across the country. And in a growing number of District schools, Say Yes specialists arrange support services to keep students and families on track.

Parents of new ninth-graders are reminded that to qualify for the Say Yes scholarships, students must be continuously be enrolled in a CMSD or partnering charter high school and live in the District or City of Cleveland from ninth grade through graduation.

CMSD’s year-round schools will begin classes on Monday, Aug. 24. Students in other schools will start on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
