Newton D. Baker School of Arts

  • Dear Newton D. Baker School of Arts Families,

The faculty would like to invite you to an exciting year at Newton D. Baker School of Arts a Nationally Recognized Blue Ribbon School.

We have worked very hard to prepare for this school year, and we believe that our students have had a rewarding educational and arts experience so far with so much more to come.

We are excited about our students' arts integrated learning opportunities.

We  have continued our success from last year by repeating our Stop the Hate Sing Off win and our Great Lakes Theater Writing.
    Recent Accolades:
    • Several Grand Prize Writing Awards including Stop the Hate Essay 2017
    • National Arts Awards
    • CMSD Middle School Basketball Champions
    • Grand Prize Stop the Hate Sing Off Winners 5 Years in a Row
    • Chess Champions in both categories Grades 3rd – 5th & Grades 6th – 8th

Your child has had classroom expectations explained by his/her homeroom teacher. It is my expectation that our school will continue to be an engaging and orderly environment for your child(ren) to learn and achieve.

Education is a shared responsibility. It is important for us to keep open lines of communication between home and school. We must work as a team to guide your child(ren) toward success!

This is accomplished by communicating with your child’s teacher, attending school functions and assisting your child in understanding the importance of education and cooperation.

You, as the parent, are a valuable component of your child’s education.

Parents are always welcome at Newton D. Baker School of Arts and are encouraged to become involved.

The Parent Group offers many opportunities for volunteer services- please get as involved as your schedule will allow! If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at the school office 216.838.6650.
