At Charles Dickens our scholars feel safe in our learning environment. We are proactive with engaging the community to keep our scholars safe. We have systems in place for our scholars to feel welcomed and supported. Moreover, we provide quality customer service to our parents, students and community. Scholars receive daily instruction in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Additionally, scholars experience a variety of encore subjects: Music, Art, Media, Physical Education, and Reading Invention. We also offer support for our early readers through the Dickens Reads program. Our after-school program, After School ALL STARS of Cleveland, supports our scholars with free programming that includes dance, music, social emotional learning, culinary arts and tutoring.
Our rigorous curriculum is geared toward creating life-long learners and productive members of society. Being rewarded as a Healthy School, we encourage wellness through physical education and healthy eating.
