At Charles Dickens our scholars feel safe in our learning environment. We are proactive with engaging the community to keep our scholars safe. We have systems in place for our scholars to feel welcomed and supported. Moreover, we provide quality customer service to our parents, students and community. Scholars receive daily instruction in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Additionally, scholars experience a variety of encore subjects: Music, Art, Media, Physical Education, and Reading Invention. We also offer a tutoring program with the focus on third graders in partnership with the Thea Bowman Center.
Our rigorous curriculum is geared toward creating life-long learners and productive members of society. Being rewarded as a Healthy School, we encourage wellness through physical education and healthy eating.
