Tremont Montessori strives to be an exemplary Public Montessori School.
Tremont Montessori in partnership with students, staff, parents, and the community will follow the Montessori philosophy, materials, and curriculum together with the state standards to prepare each child for academic excellence, promote social responsibility and stimulate lifelong learning.
The tuition-free, Pre-K-8 school in the heart of our neighborhood, Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s Tremont Montessori, has a new principal at its helm: Natalie Celeste. Celeste, a Montessori-trained educator, will steward the over 100-year-old, child-centered educational approach based on Dr. Maria Montessori’s scientific observations of children from birth to adulthood.
Cleveland’s public schools have a long way to go but are gathering momentum, CEO Eric Gordon said Thursday in the annual State of the Schools address.
The first five meetings will allow the District to share data and collect feedback on academic quality, enrollment trends and forecasts, and building use and conditions. The next five will include presentation of “emerging recommendations.”
