The Ohio Department of Education has requested that we share this Notice of Proposed Class Action Settlement with you in an effort to improve the overall quality of special education and related services given to students with disabilities across the State.
The Cleveland Board of Education has approved a plan for the future of District academic programs and facilities. The board voted 9-0 Tuesday to adopt the plan after the District spent months holding community meetings and collecting feedback.
The new Nation’s Report Card is out, and it shows CMSD faring well in reading and math when compared with districts across the country.
CMSD has created the Family Partnership Institute to provide families with important information on District initiatives, goals, supports and more.
Some people dream of driving a race car, while others dream of building one, and that's exactly what 30 students from Davis A&M, Garrett Morgan and Max Hayes high schools did over about five-week period this fall.
CMSD is big on connecting students with real-world experiences away from school. It introduces them to and whets their appetite for high-paying jobs. On Tuesday, the real world came to Max S. Hayes High School.

An agreement between the District, Plumbers Local No. 55 and the Cleveland Plumbing Industry Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee will allow qualified Max Hayes graduates to go directly to work as residential trainees in the plumbing industry.
