    Principal's Welcome

    Hello Parents, Guardians, Families and Friends! 

    Welcome to William Rainey Harper School of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District!

    Let me be the first to welcome you and your child(ren) to the NEW William Rainey Harper! It is my absolute honor to serve as the principal of this magical building that is filled with a dynamic staff and will be home to all our sensational scholars. Every child in our building is special, intelligent, and fomidable. 

    A little about myself - I am native of St. Croix, located in the U.S. Virgin Islands, my love for teaching started at an early age. Growing up, I knew I was born to be an educator. With each passing year, my passion for what I has only grown. A proud graduate of Georgia College & State University and Kennesaw State University, I understand the value of education and know the hard work and dedication it takes to make a dream become a reality. I am living my dream!

    The staff and I are looking forward to working with each of you. We are confident that you will recognize this desire to provide your child with the best possible education in a positive and magical school climate.Your child/children is/are our most important concern. We accept and respect each child by giving them support, supervision, and trust. Your child/children will grow intellectually, socially, and physically in this environment.

    I am excited to be a part of this community. In working together, parents, guardians, and the school, we WILL prepare ALL of our students to compete in the global economy, where success is a part of the magic. I strongly encourage you to join our School Parent Organization (SPO) this school year, where with 100% participation, we will ensure success for each and every child in our building!

    “If you teach, they will learn; if you care, they will change.” Realizing the importance of building trustworthy and lasting relationships with his students, this is the motto I created to guide me as I entered my classroom each day as a teacher. It will continue to be what guides my steps each day as I proudly support the success of each and every student here at Harper.

    Creating a building where we BUILD strong scholars, with active and creative minds, while encouraging their curiosity with no fear...is the mission I have for this school. With your support and involvement, we will be "Champions of our own success!"
