Welcome to Grade 3!  I look forward to working with you and your child as a team. This is a very critical year for your child.  He/she  will need to become a proficient reader and writer in order to pass the Third Grade Guarantee. This will enable your child to be promoted to grade 4. Your child and I  will be reading many different genres  in class.  We  will work together diligently  to gain mastery of Grade 3 reading skills. However,  to insure your child mastering reading skills outside the classroom it would be helpful to take advantage of free reading  technology services offered  through Cuyahoga Public Library and the Cleveland Public Library. Students love reading using Bbookflix and Tumblebooks. All that is required is a library card.  Additional resources are Storyline on Line and the Cleveland Book Fund.
