Gary Hicks Sr., Intervention Specialist

Earned mild/moderate intervention teaching license from Notre Dame College, certified to teach grades k-12. After earning his teaching license, Gary was employed by the Euclid City School district. Gary worked for the Euclid school district for four years. While at Euclid, he was the Men's Varsity Head basketball coach. He also developed and ran a mentoring group for young men. Gary has been married to The Love of His Life for thirteen years. Him and his wife Jamie have two children, Gary Jr. and Sanaa. When he's not teaching, Gary enjoys spending time with his family and friends, grilling food in his backyard, playing basketball and reading. Gary stated, what drew him into becoming a teacher was seeing himself in other children that struggle in school. One of his favorite quotes is “Maturity does not begin with age but with the acceptance of responsibility.”
