Every minute, every scholar, WHATEVER IT TAKES!

Greetings East Tech Students and Families:

We want to officially welcome all of you to the 2020-2021 school year!  We hope that everyone has been healthy and safe and is ready to move forward into another exciting year of learning and growing.

Every staff member has been working very hard to prepare for the return of our scholars in this virtual environment.  We know that the beginning of this school year will be like no other, as we all work together to navigate this new virtual world in education, while ensuring that your student’s instruction and academic supports resemble, as much as possible, the activities and opportunities that are in place during the normal school year. Our teachers and staff members have attended professional development trainings and are prepared to implement many new teaching strategies and resources, aligned to Ohio's Learning and CTE Standards, ensuring a personalized learning experience that meets the needs of all scholars. We have set very high expectations and made plans to guarantee that every scholar at East Technical High School will be successful, this year.  Student academic success is the main goal of every staff member.  We believe …Every Minute. Every Scholar. Whatever It Takes…and that every scholar will learn to the highest level and be well prepared to enter into the next steps of their lives, college and/or career ready.

The 2020-2021 school year will begin, in our remote-learning environment on Tuesday, September 8, 2020.  Our remote- learning school day will begin at 8:35 AM and conclude at 3:05 PM.  Students will be expected to virtually engage in instruction via the District’s virtual learning management systems (ECHO-Grades 9 and 10; Schoology-Grades 11 and 12).

We encourage you to visit our school’s website, Instagram, and other CMSD social media platforms to keep in touch with what is happening, daily, at East Tech and throughout CMSD.  These sites will serve as resource tools for important reminders and upcoming events.

In closing, please continue to stay healthy and safe.  We look forward to seeing or scholars (virtually) on the first day of school.  Our vision of success continues, September 8, 2020!

    Warmly,

    Dr. Temujin H. Taylor, Co-Principal
