    Hornet Families,
Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to ensure every student thrives academically and socially. As we move forward in the school year, I want to highlight a few key areas that support student success:

Attendance & Engagement:  Daily attendance and active participation during instructional time are essential. When students are present and engaged, they build strong learning habits and make meaningful academic progress.

    Homework & i-Ready Expectations:
To support your child with homework and i-Ready:
    • Create a quiet, consistent workspace free from distractions.
    • Set a regular homework schedule—even 15–20 minutes a day adds up!
    • Check in on progress by asking what they learned or struggled with.
    • Celebrate effort and growth, not just completion.
    • Use the I-Ready Family Center for tips and resources: https://i-readycentral.com/familycenter/
School & District Expectations: Please remind your child to follow all school and district guidelines. These expectations help us maintain a safe, respectful, and focused learning environment for everyone.

Thank You, Miles Park Fathers!: A heartfelt thank you to the Miles Park Fathers who walked their children to school on Thursday, September 18, 2025, and participated in our Fatherhood Initiative. Your involvement strengthens our school community and sets a powerful example of support and leadership.

    Upcoming Events
    • Next week, students in Grades K–3rd will complete the I-Ready Math Diagnostic Assessment. This helps us tailor instruction to meet each student’s needs.
    • Students in Grades 2nd–8th will take the new Panorama Student Survey. This survey provides valuable insights into students’ learning conditions, needed support, and social-emotional well-being. Your child’s voice matters, and we look forward to learning from their experiences.
    • Lifetouch Picture Day: Tuesday, September 23, 2025 @ 9am-1pm
    • Boys Basketball Conditioning : Wed., Sept. 24 and Thurs., Sept. 25, 2025 from 3-4:15 pm
