    Washington, DC Learning Journey

Travel along with our Wade Park Student Ambassadors as they travel to Washington, DC for an amazing educational experience.  Our scholars are learning, growing, & soaring!  In preparation for the learning journey, our scholars researched information on each identified historical site and museum(s) to enrich the learning experience.  Our scholars enjoyed visiting the Natural Museum of African American History & Culture, Natural Museum of Natural History & Natural Museum of American History.

During the first night in Washington, District of Columbia, Wade Park Ambassadors toured the Lincoln Memorial and National Christmas Tree.

    Christmas Tree

Student Ambassadors got an opportunity to empower scholars at Tyler Elementary School led by Principal Mitchell Brunson and Maury Elementary School led by Principal Helena Payne.  Student ambassadors shared empowerment speeches and met with student leaders for a round table discussion.

    Classroom Visit

Wade Park student ambassadors traveled hundred of miles to the nation’s capitol to tour the various historical sites in our nation’s capitol. Our ambassadors learned about our American history as they visited Lafayette Park to get some photos of the White House.  Students witnessed amazing exhibits at the National Air & Space Museum and National Gallery of Art.

Thank you DuPont Park Adventist Academy for opening your doors to Wade Park.  Our ambassadors had a blast collaborating with your scholars!  Our Student Ambassadors had a blast at Georgetown Glow exploring various art installations.  A solemn occasion as Student Ambassadors paid their respects at Arlington National Cemetery and toured the Holocaust Museum.
