Hello Orchard Families!

My name is Mrs. Monica Grays, the 2^nd grade teacher.

I believe that all children can and want to learn.  My main goal is to help your child become an independent learner.  To reach this goal, I will meet your child where they are and guide them as far as possible.  To accomplish this goal, I will use learning centers and inquiry based learning.  Your child will be completing activities and projects in small groups around the classroom; each designed to focus on a different content area, such as reading, science and listening. They also will learn how to ask high-level questions. In addition, your child will learn other important skills, such as responsibility, decision-making, and self-evaluation.
