Dear Parents and Guardians,

             Welcome back, we are looking forward to a fantastic year!  This year the fifth and sixth grade students will be switching classes: Mrs. Teets (math), Mrs. Schmidt (science), Ms. Scully (language arts), and Dawn Gallagher (intervention specialist).  Your child’s homeroom teacher will teach social studies. 

            We will be challenging your child daily in all academic subjects.  We expect all of our students to come to school prepared, on time, and ready to learn.  Daily attendance is critical to a successful school year.  Breakfast will begin at 8:30 AM with classes starting promptly at 9:10 AM.  Dismissal will be at 3:40 PM.  

            The curriculum is rigorous and behavior expectations are high.  Homework is assigned daily and students are expected to read for a minimum of 30 minutes a night.  Our classroom rules are simple and direct, our consequences are fair and consistent, and our incentives are motivating.
