Welcome Back to the 2023-2024 School Year!
Welcome back to the 2023-2024 academic year! Throughout this transformational period in our district, many new and diverse learning experiences will take place for the optimal success and growth of our students. Our goal as educators is to not only to challenge our students; but ourselves as well. Therefore, our teachers will be prepared to equip the students within our small learning community with the tools necessary to succeed. Moreover, students who enter into the Albert Bushnell Hart Elementary must be prepared to participate in a rigorous learning environment that will afford each student the opportunity to earn the tools needed to help them prepare for their next transition ‘High School”. The expectation is that each student will engage in rigorous learning that will enable him or her to think critically and employ higher order thinking skills in all grade levels.
As an experienced administrator of 21 years and dedicated educator with a knowledge base in Educational “Best Practices”, I am eager to create a working partnership with our staff, parents and community partners. My goal is to help each student embrace the tools necessary towards transitioning into high school while simultaneously preparing for the 21st Century.
At Albert Bushnell Hart Elementary, I believe that it is important for our parents and staff to work together to share the responsibility for student success. We value partnership and are eager to build positive working relationships with all parents. I believe that a strong partnership between our school, each classroom, home and community is critical to the student and school success. Throughout this transition, the Albert Bushnell Hart Elementary will be “rethinking the possibilities” for improved student success. Therefore, we welcome and encourage you to participate and volunteer within our school. Without the support and dedication from the families of our students, we will not be able to reach our potential. I welcome you to come and meet your child’s teachers to build a partnership to help your child grow and increase student achievement.Your partner in education,Kevin L. Payton
