Mrs. Kristy Barber-Tramontana

Hello students and parents! My name is Kristy Barber-Tramontana, also known simply as Ms. Barber. I have been the Kindergarten-2nd grade MDAU Intervention Specialist for Albert Bushnell Hart School of Academics for 4 years and have been at AB Hart for the entirety of my teaching career within Cleveland Metropolitan School District of 6 years. I graduated from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education. I am originally from Southern California and lived in Las Vegas for 22 years and made the cross-country trek to live in the Cleveland area in the summer of 2015. Prior to teaching at AB Hart, I taught students with Autism at a Charter School in Lorain, OH for 2 years. Before I entered the world of teaching, I received an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and worked in Private Security for over 7 years while living in Las Vegas. When I am not teaching, I enjoy going to local restaurants, going to a Guardians game, or relaxing with friends and family, which includes 2 amazing toddler sons that are twins.

I continuously learn while working with my students and always look forward to each new school year to face challenges and celebrate victories, no matter how big or small they may be.

I am eager to work with and see scholars grow during my years as an educator and can’t wait to see the knowledge, potential and growth each scholar possesses. Here’s to a new school year for our AB Hart family.
