Ms. Michelle Brickner
I grew up on a farm in Northwest Ohio and received a BFA in Fine Arts from Columbus College of Art and Design and an MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Yale University. After graduation, I moved to Utah where I began my teaching career and continued that career in the Cleveland area over fourteen years before coming to teach Visual Arts at CSA in 2018.
My personal artistic practice includes creating multimedia sculptural headdresses, outdoor sculptures, and drawings. When not teaching or creating art, I co-own a plant nursery in Northwest Ohio with my family where I work summers and weekends, which satisfies my deep love of nature, gardening, and plant collecting. I also enjoy international travel with my partner. We are committed to going on an adventure to a different country every year where we can be found doing things like meeting local artist communities, night fishing with local fisherman, riding camels across the desert, or helping harvest a field of fava beans.
Positions/Courses: Visual Art I, II, III, IV
