Shalaine Miller-Murphy is a veteran of the United States Army Reserve, who proudly served our country for eight years. She attended Bowling Green State University for her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Psychology. She also continued her education at Cleveland State University receiving a Master’s Degree in Early
Childhood Education. Shalaine Miller-Murphy is a passionate and skilled educator whose teaching philosophy is to foster a positive, challenging, and fun learning environment for each scholar.

As an advocate for exploratory learning, she implements engaging activities to engage all learning styles and leaves plenty of time for her scholars to work in groups, with a buddy, one-on-one, and as a whole class. Shalaine enjoys teaching lessons and developing supplemental activities to help each scholar build a deeper love of learning while also grasping core skills. Mrs. Miller-Murphy has been teaching over 20 years and has been at Wade Park School most of that time. She has taught grades Kindergarten through second. She loves being apart of the Wade Park School Family because of the genuine love and support that each staff member has for the scholars and their families. Mrs. Murphy believes it is a privilege to serve the community where she grew up!
