Patricia Fantone

Patricia Fantone has had twenty years of experience as an Intervention Specialist in CMSD. Prior to teaching, her career path has taken her from being a social worker to a program director of a residential facility for teens and adults with disabilities to an RN, mainly in-home health care, then to teaching. She has two adult sons and two grandsons. Her younger son has severe autism, cognitive impairment, and mental health issues. So, she has the experience, as a parent, with many of the issues facing families of students with IEPs. As a result of her life and career experiences, she understands that people can not be categorized or limited by the categories others put them in. She tries to foster in her students a belief in their ability to achieve academically and be successful in reaching their personal goals. She has a M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction and a diploma RN. Her hobbies are reading, gardening, and photography.
