Partnering with Families to Empower Future Leaders
At Warner Girls’ Leadership Academy, we believe that strong family-school partnerships are essential to student success. The WGLA School Parent Organization (SPO) brings together educators, parents, caregivers, and community members to support our mission of developing confident, competent, and compassionate young women.
Our Mission
The SPO is dedicated to fostering meaningful family engagement and collaboration in support of school goals, student achievement, and community connection.
What We Do
The SPO supports WGLA through a variety of initiatives, including:
- Organizing volunteer opportunities and family events
- Supporting school improvement and academic achievement goals
- Helping plan workshops and enrichment programs
- Providing input on the school’s Academic Achievement Plan
- Assisting in the development of the School Parent Involvement Policy
- Promoting effective two-way communication between school and families
- Coordinating fundraising efforts to support student activities
- Building partnerships with local organizations and community leaders
Meetings & Participation
All parents and caregivers of WGLA students are automatically members of the SPO—no fees or dues required!
SPO meetings are held every other month and are co-hosted by our Family Support Specialist, Mr. Farmer, and our Parent Ambassador. These gatherings are a great way to stay informed, share ideas, and get involved in school life.
📲 Meeting reminders and updates are shared via Class Dojo, so be sure to stay connected!
