• Library and Media Services

    Welcome, Scholars and Parents!

Library and Media Services is a support department that works to provide programming, instructional assistance, and print, electronic, and video resources to support personal literacy, curriculum goals, and life-long learning for scholars and staff.

    What We Do

    Curriculum and Class Support:

    • Recommended reading that is curriculum aligned.
    • Educator support in identifying resources for in-class use.
    • Research technique demonstrations and eResource demonstrations, such as INFOhio and research databases.
    • Many more lessons and activities in assisting scholars to develop digital literacy and research skills that set up the foundation of their learning experience in all subjects and grades.

    Leisure Reading:

    • Checking out and checking in books.
    • assisting students in finding grade-level and reading-level appropriate materials that they are interested in.
    • creating engaging book displays and maintaining a welcoming space.
    • conducting story time for scholars.
    • Fun, engaging programming that inspires a love of reading.
    • serving as a liaison to bring Cleveland Public Library and other community partner programming to your space.

    College and career support

    • Support in exploring college and career opportunities students may be interested in, whether it's helping 8th graders identify what specialized high school they would like to attend, or working with your Community, College, and Career Center Coordinator to implement high-quality, early exploration college and career programs for your scholars.
