  • Welcome to CMSD!

The Cleveland Metropolitan School District offers a new Vision for Learning that is more personalized, engages students more deeply and gives them more control of their learning.

Examples of strategies include hands-on mini-projects that students research and present in demonstrations of learning critiqued by adult volunteers. Or Civics 2.0, in which students organize candidate or issue forums, blog and participate in other activities that allow them not to just learn civics but also live civics.

We invite you to visit us and learn more about how CMSD is advancing education in Cleveland.

  • Ready to make a choice?

All parents and guardians making high school choices for their children will need to make a new account. The portal has been redesigned and will not recognize previous usernames and passwords.

When you create your account, be sure to use a valid email address and cell phone number. You will receive email and/or text communication about your child's application through those methods.

Parents and guardians making choices for a current CMSD student will need the student's first and last name as it appears on their report card. They will also need the student's nine-digit student ID number to access their child's profile in the system. You can find your child's ID number on their report card or progress report. You can also request them in Schoology or call the school to get the ID number.

Parents and guardians making choices for a new CMSD student will create a student profile in the system.
