March 22, 2020 Update from the CEO

March 22, 2020

This is the latest in a series of updates on our efforts to support students and families during Ohio’s mandatory school closure period.

Governor DeWine has announced a Stay At Home Order.  My team and I have been trying to plan for every possible option, including this one.

Our understanding of this order is that essential services can and should continue.  This includes the operation of our 22 food distribution sites and the District transportation shuttles to and from these sites.  These sites will continue to operate during this shutdown.  We will continue to use appropriate social distancing measures during this time, including seating students and families at least 6 feet apart on our shuttle buses and asking families to stay at least 6 feet apart while moving through our food service and academic enrichment pickups.

Please continue to count on CMSD to support our students and families with this meal service and academic enrichment until we can resume our typical educational programming soon.

Thank you,

 Eric Gordon
