The National Weather Service is predicting snowfall of 3 to 5 inches in the Cleveland area, starting Thursday, February 24th and extending into Friday, February 25th. Depending on the severity of the snowfall, this could create hazardous conditions for walking and driving.
As always, we will continuously monitor conditions to determine whether it is necessary to close schools. But, as we did last month, we are alerting you early so that students, families and educators are prepared to switch to remote learning if our buildings are closed. This includes making sure that students bring their devices home and that those devices are fully charged.
Our District has provided technology and internet access so all students can remain connected and complete work at home. If your student does not have a device, please contact your school’s principal.
I also want to alert you to the potential for disruption in use of our Bus Tracker app for this and next week.
The app, which allows parents and caregivers to monitor the location of their children’s yellow buses, could experience disruption as AT&T shuts down its 3G network and transitions customers to 4G service.
It is our expectation that Bus Tracker will be fully restored by no later than Monday, March 7th. For more information on the app service, please call 216-838-4287.
