CMSD is committed to website accessibility for everyone. Our school site administrators are the front line for keeping all of the school website content ADA compliant.

Quick Checklist for your content
- Images have alternate text
- No images of text or blinking images and animation
- Word and Powerpoint documents are properly structured
- PDFs are tagged for accessibility
- Videos are captioned
- Instructions are clear and succinct
- Color choices have proper contrast
- tables are not used for layout
BlackBoard Resources
- Simple ways you can make your content accessible!
- Format Accessible Documents -webpage that offers best practices for formatting Word document to turn into PDFs for posting. Beyond this, it is a best paractice to put the Document Title, Subject, Author(s), Company and Keywords in the Document Properties (File>Properties). By putting in the document Properties it will make the document accessible to Search Engines. If you are writing reports for CMSD, this will allow people to find the document easier and you will get credit for your work.
