11/15/23 -- The bus ride is a part of Dr. Morgan Listen and Learn tour, where he is asking staff, educators, students, community partners and the public to share what they believe is working well in the district and what can be improved. 

CEO Warren Morgan Delivers his first State of the Schools Address (Video)

11/09/23 -- Dr. Morgan used the speech to outline his vision and goals for moving the District forward. He also announced a set of benchmarks over five years for which he said the District will be held accountable – benchmarks that include metrics such as graduation rates, college enrollment, and greater proficiency in ELA and math by both elementary and high school students.

10/18/23 -- Students were so passionate about wanting school lunches to improve they challenged Dr. Morgan to eat a school lunch so he could judge for himself.

10/02/23 -- CMSD CEO Dr. Warren Morgan gave candid responses to questions ranging from school discipline, increased vocational education offerings, safety and security, school uniforms, to the budget challenges most districts will encounter with the coming elimination of federal dollars that were provided to help schools navigate the pandemic.

8/31/23-- One-by-one for more than an hour, concerned citizens chatted with Dr. Morgan about various things including the mental health of students and offered suggestions on ways to improve the district.  

A day of firsts across the district as students head back to school (Video)

8/22/23 -- This first day of school was Dr. Morgan’s first as CEO and he wasted no time stopping by several schools including East Tech High School and John Marshall High School Campus as well as Almira and Sunbeam PreK-8 Schools.
