• Division of Finance

The Division of Finance is responsible for the overall fiscal management of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. Our mission is to support Cleveland schools through the strategic management and use of federal, state and local dollars. This responsibility requires the coordination of the District's $1.5 billion budget. To support our schools and students, the Division of Finance is organized into the following departments: Accounts Payable and Technical Support, Financial Reporting and Cash Management, Payroll, Internal Audit, Budgets and Student Financial Activities, and Grants Reporting and Funded Programs.

These areas provide financial services needed by schools, employees and vendors, monitor and analyze budgetary activity, and provide financial leadership to the district according to state and federal legislation, governmental regulations, Board policies and sound financial practice.

The Finance team is proud to have earned the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association, Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Association of School Business Officials, and the Certificate of Achievement from the Auditor of State. These awards are a testament of our commitment to the highest standards of financial reporting.

The Division of Finance is committed to providing the highest level of fiscal integrity in management and reporting to our students, parents, partners and the community.
