National Customer Service Week
National Customer Service Week was established by the International Customer Service Association (ICSA, now PACE) in 1984 and proclaimed a national event by the U.S. Congress in 1992. In 1992, Former U.S. Senators Robert Dole and Nancy Kassebaum, along with U.S. Representatives Dan Glickman and Pat Roberts, championed this dynamic legislation on Capitol Hill resulting in the U.S. Congress proclaiming the first full week of October as National Customer Service Week. The Customer Experience department is excited to celebrate National Customer Service Week (NCSW) again this school year. NCSW recognizes the essential work of customer service delivery and the professionals in the organization who are essential to the work. At CMSD “we are ALL Educators” and ALL are essential to the organizational health and progress of the district. The activities for NCSW highlight the importance of the overall Customer Experience standards/expectations we hold at CMSD, acknowledges our Educators in the various roles who deliver service in some capacity each day, and serves as a “thank you” to our customers who choose and support CMSD.
