Policy
Staff members are encouraged to pursue and are provided with opportunities for the development of increased competencies beyond those that they may attain through the performance of their assigned duties and assistance from supervisors.
Opportunities for professional growth are provided through such means as:
- Planned in-service programs and workshops offered within the District from time to time;
- Released time for visits to other classrooms and schools and for attendance at conferences, workshops and other professional meetings and;
- Leaves of absence for advanced educational training.
The Chief Executive Officer has the authority to approve released time for conferences and visitations and reimbursements for expenses, provided that such activities are within budget allocations for that purpose.
