Policy
Vacation Leave Pay-Out
Upon separation from the District, employees will be paid at their then current rate of compensation for all accrued and unused vacation leave not to exceed a maximum of three years’ worth of vacation accrual.
Sick Leave Pay-Out
Upon retirement from the District, employees with ten or more years of service with the District will be paid at their then current rate of compensation for the value of 30% of accrued and unused sick leave not to exceed a maximum payout of $30,000.
The terms of collective bargaining agreements or individual employment contracts regarding vacation leave or sick leave pay-out shall take precedence over this policy.
